Denistone East's Recycling Scheme begins for 2019!

In 2018, the students of Denistone East Public School and their families helped prevent close to 30 000 pieces of recyclable waste entering landfill. Together, they raised close to $3000 through the New South Wales Government's Return and Earn Scheme.

The money raised has gone toward building a new sustainable school garden and with the help of the P & C and Bunnings Rydalmere, that project is well underway.

We are very happy to announce that the recycling program will continue in 2019!

Lead by a dedicated team of teachers, Denistone East's Environmental Club and Student Representative Council will be collecting eligible bottles, cans and cartons throughout the school week.

This year, our goal is to raise over $4000. The money raised will go toward educational programs and infrastructure in our school.

Help us by donating your bottles, cans and cartons at our collection point, located near the Lovell Road carpark. The collection desk is open before school (from 8:55am), druing recess and lunch.

A huge thank you to all who have helped so far!

Now, let's get recycling! Together we can make a difference!
