PSSA Match Reports

Softball:  DEPS v Truscott Street

Girls:  The girls started with a positive attitude, even being down by one point after the first innings.  Then, with a little pep talk and support of their peers they scored and followed with pitching three outs in a row!

Final score - DEPS 5 to TS 2

Player of the Match - Andrea T

Sportsmanship - Bruna D

Boys:  The boys came out firing and got five home safe in the first innings with the opposition having real trouble getting them out.  They followed up this batting with some great pitching and fielding keeping the opposition scoreless.

T-Ball:

A late mention from Round 3 to Sportsman of the Match - Isaac L and Player of the match Coby S.  Both for outstanding fielding and team playing.

T-Ball:  DEPS v Truscott Street

Another great round of team playing for both teams.  Unfortunately, it was a loss for Denistone East girls with Truscott Street proving to be strong in their batting.

Player of the Match - Grace V

Sportsmanship - Lana P

The boys continued to bat far into the outfield and proved themselves to be the stronger junior boys team beating Truscott Street.  Flynn C constantly shows enthusiasm and support to his team mates.  Jack L continues to demonstrate great fielding skills.

Congratulations and well done to both teams.  Round 5 will be played this Friday and will be the last round before the break for winter PSSA.

Cricket

The junior team had an amazing win against Eastwood Height PS.  The team has gained confidence and focused on their batting, which resulted in a convincing win.  Lincoln P received the award for an exceptional wicket which was taken and Param S who proved a difficult bowler for the opposition.

Sportsmanship - Param S

The senior team had a challenging game against Eastwood Heights and were only narrowly defeated.  A strong batting partnership from Henry E and Jack A saw the opposition running for the boundary on many occasions.  After a week off, the seniors are refreshed and ready for their gam this week against Ryde Public School.
