3P has been exploring length in Maths this week. Students have been recording, comparing and measuring lengths around the classroom in metres and centimetres.
3P enjoyed figuring out their height and comparing the lengths measured to figure out the tallest student in the class and comparing their heights with other objects.
Students also measured the classroom, desks, interactive whiteboard, stationary and classroom doors with meter rulers. Students were able to recognise that 100cm equals 1m and that there are 10mm in one centimetre.
